Covid-19 Closure and Opening Updates

Hello Everyone. We have had a lot of emails, messages and calls about setting up appointments and so we wanted to post an update on where things are standing with opening again for regular business.

We are anxious to be able to serve your pets and our communities, however we are continuing to follow the Governor of Iowa’s recommendations, and protocols recommended by the American and Iowa Veterinary Medical Association. As our business requires a large volume of personal protective equipment in our operating room and beyond each day, and the numbers of positive Covid cases continues to rise each day throughout our state we will continue to remain closed, AT MINIMUM, through the end of the month of April. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your understanding.

At this time we are not scheduling any spay/neuter or vaccine appointments, however we are looking towards being able to re-open initially on a limited basis in May, as long as the Covid-19 trends begin to and continue to shift downward. Of course the final decision on opening will be determined by the Governor of Iowa’s recommendations combined along with that of our Board of Directors, and our Veterinary Medical Director. Once we do open, we will be implementing multiple changes to protocol with our scheduling, checkin-in/drop off, pickup and appointments to keep our clients, staff, and volunteers safe. These changes will be posted at a later time on this Facebook and our business page (www.goape.info)

We thank you for your understanding, and ongoing support of our mission, and we look forward to serving you and your pets again, with any luck, very soon.
