I Need Your Help

Many of you know that A.P.E. is able to offer low cost spay & neuters and vaccines because of all of our great volunteers.  We started this journey in 2003, and have seen over 20,000 animals.

That makes for a lot of veterinary records to store in a volunteer’s den.  It is time for us to add to our mobile outreach with a permanent location.  This permanent location will serve as a clinic and as an office.  We will still continue our mobile outreach clinics via our Mobile Veterinary Unit in rural areas of Iowa.

We have been looking for several years to find a property that was within a decent price range.  A building that was not a disaster waiting to happen,  and that would not nickle and dime us to death in repairs.

We have found the building!  Our loan has been pre-approved, and a bid accepted!  🙂

We now need YOUR help.  A.P.E. has never just sat on funds.  We have always felt that the funds needed to be used for providing services to the animals in the communities we serve, or upgrading equipment.  Thus, we are seeking donations to help with the down payment and the remodeling once acquired.

We will be doing a Facebook Event and sending out letters to area businesses.  Please do your part and send your tax deductible check to:

Animal Protection & Education PO Box 65  Paton, IA 50217

Building built in 2002 and in great repair!
The office area will have the carpet removed and a sealed floor put down,  It will serve as our surgical room.
The majority of the building is wide open space. We will add exam rooms, etc as funds allow.

By giving to A.P.E. you are not only helping our shelter animals, but other shelter animals and family pets here in Iowa that use our low cost clinics.

Donations are tax deductible.

I am writing on behalf of Animal Protection and Education (A.P.E). We are a small shelter founded in 2003 and are 501(c)(3) tax exempt. We are the only non-profit mobile Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) service in Iowa.

A.P.E.’s mission is to provide communities with humane animal control of free-roaming cats and educate the community of the responsibilities of pet ownership. Our mission is made possible through the generous funding we have received from members of our community and citizens like you. This year we are specifically seeking donations to fund the purchase of a permanent clinic location.  This new location will serve as a clinic and office, while we continue our mobile program in rural areas.  The access to these services is of extreme importance. A.P.E. is run solely by volunteers and provides educational programs to the general public about the pet overpopulation issues, ways to prevent it,  pet husbandry &  humane training.

We hope that you will be able to join us in funding the development of our much needed permanent location for our low-cost, spay & neuter clinic to help reduce the pet population, provide annual immunizations, exams, and microchipping.

We are specifically seeking donations of $100, but even if you are only able to give $5 we will still greatly appreciate your support. You can send a Check (Payable to “A.P.E.”), or you can donate online at www.goape.info/donations/

Any support will be highly appreciated by us and the families that we provide a service to. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us through the phone number above or via email at United4APE@gmail.com

Sincerely,
Linn Cipperley-Price, BS, LVT

Director A.P.E.
